Koenigsegg recently had the distinct pleasure of taking the One:1 to Ascari Race Resort in southern Spain to pit man against machine as part of the Castrol EDGE CloneRival campaign.

First, we sent one of our test drivers, Christoffer Nygaard, to London to spend some time in a bespoke driving simulator configured to the Koenigsegg One:1’s exact driving parameters. Christoffer did 10 sessions on the simulator. The simulator gurus then cut-and-pasted his fastest sections of the Ascari digital track to put together his ‘ultimate’ lap.

His mission – to go to Ascari and beat that ‘ultimate’ lap time in an actual Koenigsegg One:1.

How did he go? Watch the video and find out….

Castrol has a range of oils called Castrol EDGE boosted with an additive called Titanium FST that doubles the film strength and better protects your engine. Their brand new range of oils is called Castrol EDGE Supercar and the Koenigsegg One:1 is one of the launch vehicles for that oil.

All Koenigsegg cars come with Castrol EDGE oil from the factory. We’re very happy with it – and that should mean something from a company that puts as much stress on their engines as we do.
