Koenigsegg Agera RS is Fastest Selling Koenigsegg Model Ever

Koenigsegg Automotive AB is pleased to announce that all examples of the Koenigsegg Agera RS series have now been sold.

The Koenigsegg Agera RS made its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, where the first customer car was delivered to its owner. In the 10 months since that debut, orders have been placed and deposits paid for all 25 cars in the Agera RS series.

The 10 months taken to sell all 25 examples makes the Agera RS the fastest selling model in the company’s history.

The Agera RS has received global adulation and has been sold to markets around the world. The United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE will all soon see the Agera RS on their roads. The scarcity of the Agera RS program, however, means that many markets were left without allocation as demand far outpaced the limited number of Agera RS’s available.

The Agera RS builds upon previous Agera R and Agera S models using lessons learned from the most extreme car Koenigsegg has ever made – the legendary Koenigsegg One:1. It delivers an astonishing 1160hp on 95 octane RON or 91 octane DIN fuel for monstrous performance and yet still retains all creature comforts including a removable roof that can be stored under the front hood of the car.

Christian von Koenigsegg:

“I am extremely proud of the Agera RS program. The RS is a classic Koenigsegg, with all the core values and features that the Koenigsegg brand stands for. The performance, road feel and responsiveness are truly amazing and the level of technical sophistication is second to none. It is a true ‘pinnacle’ project that has been wholly embraced by our customers and friends.”

All outstanding Agera RS models are planned to commence production during 2016, with the last cars to be shipped in 2017.

Wow and I thought all the One:1s sold out pretty fast! Crazy to find out that it’s the fastest selling car ever, that those 25 cars sold faster that the 6 One:1s.

I live in the United States, and I’m more excited to hear that a few will come here, even though I may never see any of them 🙂 Ever since Manhattan Motorcars welcomed Koenigsegg to the U.S. with the Agera R and Agera S, I’ve always been very anxious to find out what other models make it here. The One:1 did, and the Agera RS gladly follows.

You all should compete against our Venom GT sometime 🙂

Of course they should! But that’s easier said than done really……or do I detect a celebratory test against it in response to this record?

Mr. Wade, may you please tell me when and where Mr. von Koenigsegg will be in the US this year? Thanks.

We will be at Monterey Car Week. Other than that, it’s impossible to say at this point. There’s nothing else planned that I know of, but I’m sure something will pop up.

    Hey Mr. Wade!

Hats off to you guys at Koenigsegg, you have all been doing so much hard and good work over this year and that’s exactly why the Agera RS has been such a success for you guys!
The blog posts about the superiority of the Agera RS definitely helped it reach this amazing milestone. And setting a record along the way? That just makes it even better!

The One:1 definitely proved to be a bright spot on the history of Koenigsegg, the Agera RS owes it’s existence to it. I really hope that Koenigsegg Automotive AB sets many more records for itself and in the world of Automotive Engineering in the years to come!

    Congratulations once again,
    Nimalan S.R.

What about the Nürbergring track record? You said earlier that you should probably do it in an Agera RS instead of the ONE:1… Will it happen? The whole carworld are waiting 🙂

I suppose if the track opens its doors for record attampts again, Koenigsegg will not waste time.

I am personally also very interested as to how well Regera would do there relative to the Porsche 918. Regera has a greater battery capacity, greater electric power output, nearly double the ICE output, similar or lower weight, similiar or better downforce…. The key advantage for the 918 is the AWD drivetrain for traction and battery efficiency. This factor lkely tripped up the P1 as well, on top of the P1’s even smaller battery. Regera has way more power than P1, while on the other hand also being heavier.
For the RS, there are no excuses. It should be way quicker (lighter, more power) than the P1, which dshould suffice to also beat the 918.
