The endurance racer, reimagined

Just as the CC850 pays tribute to the CC8S - Koenigsegg's first homologated production car - the CCGT1 pays tribute to the iconic Koenigsegg CCGT GT1 race project.

The CCGT was built purely for racing, but never got to fulfill its destiny. The CCGT1 is its modern tribute, fully homologated and road legal in standard form, all over the world.

A Tribute Made Real

The CCGT1 takes the award-winning CC850 base to new heights, with racing-derived aerodynamics, a sequential shifter operating the Light Speed Transmission, and twin-turbo V8 power producing 1600 hp on E85 fuel. For the first time, Koenigsegg is also offering an optional, factory-designed track package, which takes the CCGT1’s circuit performance beyond anything we have ever offered before. Once fitted, the package transforms the CCGT1 from a world-class dynamic daily driver into Koenigsegg’s fastest-ever circuit performer.

CCGT
CCGT1 Origins

The Koenigsegg CCGT’s story is as legendary as it is unfortunate. Conceived as a GT1 competition car, it paired a lightweight 1000 kg chassis with a naturally aspirated 5.0 litre Koenigsegg V8. From its first laps, the CCGT showed outstanding promise, posting competitive times despite running 100 hp below the class maximum. Before it could race, changes to FIA regulations made Koenigsegg ineligible for the championship. The programme was cancelled, and only one CCGT was ever built.

Today, the original car has been restored by the Koenigsegg Legends Division and is preparing to compete in the GT1 Historic class. The CCGT1 is an entirely new car, created as a modern tribute to the original CCGT and the racing life it never had.

The CCGT1 combines exceptional road performance with uncompromising track capability. Nearly every body panel has been redesigned to increase downforce and improve cooling.

Its active rear wing automatically adjusts between low drag, air brake and high downforce modes. A large front splitter and sculpted underfloor keep the car aerodynamically balanced, while integrated NACA ducts provide cooling during extended track use.

The CCGT1 generates up to 800 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. Consistent aerodynamic performance under braking, cornering and acceleration gives the driver confidence at the limits of grip.

The CCGT1 is powered by Koenigsegg’s proven twin turbo V8, producing 1280 hp on pump fuel and 1600 hp on E85 biofuel. A bespoke roof scoop and enhanced cooling systems ensure consistent performance during extended track use.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through the compact, ultra fast Light Speed Transmission. Drivers can choose the standard sequential shifter, designed to deliver rapid shifts with an authentic mechanical feel, or the optional six speed Engage Shift System.

Both systems offer paddle shifting, while the ESS adds a gated manual shifter, clutch pedal and fully automatic mode.

    Ghost Fibre

First introduced with the Trevita in 2009, Koenigsegg’s white fibre returns with the CCGT1 as Ghost Fibre. Developed from the ground up, its crystal white proprietary fibre and carbon matrix combines striking beauty with greater strength, sound deadening properties and reduced weight.

    take a seat

The CCGT1 interior brings everything you expect from a Koenigsegg interior: materials and finishes of the highest order, comfort, and heightened levels of flexibility, functionality and safety.

Focused around the driver

The CCGT1 cockpit is designed for focused driving with minimal distraction. Essential information is presented clearly, while the Koenigsegg Sequential Shifter sits close to the steering wheel for fast, effortless gear changes.

Drivers can also choose the Engage Shift System, combining a gated six speed manual shifter with nine speed automatic operation. Paddle shifting is standard with both configurations.

Lightweight carbon fibre seats and six point harnesses provide support and security. For track use, optional racing seats and a fire suppression system are available. The touchscreen infotainment system delivers full functionality without compromising focus.

A name, returned. A promise fulfilled.
