The Story
The Koenigsegg Jesko is named for Jesko von Koenigsegg, father of company founder Christian von Koenigsegg, a gentleman jockey and a passionate, lifelong equestrian sportsman and administrator.
In 2025, Koenigsegg released Sadair’s Spear, in celebration of the horse that Jesko von Koenigsegg rode his final race with in 1976. Fittingly for a car named for a racehorse, the car is designed to be 100% focused on outstanding track performance.

Sadair’s Spear is a limited edition of just 30 breathtaking megacars.
Sadair’s Spear features increased power, less weight, as well as aerodynamics optimised for downforce at lower speeds. The front/rear aero balance has been adjusted, as has the airflow for both engine intake and cooling - all designed to maximise both high-speed stability and on-track performance.
Track Legend, Road Legal
100% track focused

Koenigsegg’s CFD team has devised an aero and intake package for Sadair’s Spear that manages the air like never before, bringing usable downforce into play earlier at more typical track speeds while improving airflow around the car at high speed, as well as improved breathing and cooling. Sadair’s Spear features a new, active, top-mounted rear wing with a double-blade design featuring a straight profile optimised for greater downforce at lower speeds. This is complimented by underfloor strakes and wheel arch louvres that improve airflow around and underneath the car.
These rear downforce gains are balanced by the aero package designed for Sadair’s Spear’s front end. Bigger canards work with an enlarged hood vent and, again, the optimised wheel arch louvres, for both downforce and cooling. Combined with the stability provided by the front Triplex damper and Koenigsegg’s Active Ride Height system, this provides greater steering feel for a more dynamic driving experience.
Inside, Sadair’s Spear has a bespoke, minimalistic and light weight centre console as well as carbon fibre seats that can be specified with optional 6-point racing harnesses*. 3-point seat belts are fitted as standard.
The usual creature comforts and driver aids remain, including Koenigsegg’s steering-mounted SmartCluster display, the SmartCenter command centre, USB connectivity, inductive phone charging, Koenigsegg’s unique Autoskin opening system, birds-eye parking assist, and much more.
Sadair’s Spear is a Koenigsegg designed with intention. Laser-focused to provide the ultimate track experience and break records, and strictly limited to 30 units.
Sadair’s Spear also features bespoke rear hood scoops to improve engine breathing at high speeds. This, along with revised engine mapping, has resulted in an increase in power from 1280hp to 1300hp on regular unleaded fuel, and from 1600hp to 1625hp on environmentally friendly E85.
To keep Sadair’s Spear cool under pressure, the front hood vent has been sculpted to optimise airflow as it exits the front radiators. The cooling vent is enhanced by a small Gurney flap at the leading edge, which creates an additional low-pressure zone, increasing downforce as air exits the cooling channel.

Crafting a Legend
“The Jesko was named to honour my father, who was instrumental in the early years of our company back in the 1990s. People familiar with the Jesko story will know that my father rode horses as a gentleman jockey and has cherished his involvement with the Swedish equine industry his entire life. His final race, in 1976, was on a horse that he loved, called Sadair’s Spear. Naming the car after one of my father’s favourite racehorses seemed the perfect way to celebrate our most track-focused car to date.” — Christian von Koenigsegg
So... what considerations have Christian and his design team prioritized when creating the next landmark megacar?
Christian von Koenigsegg: “It has to bring something new. It really has to be something special that we haven’t done in that way before.” This is critical for Koenigsegg. The company is renowned for its bespoke solutions and innovation — for never standing still. If a regular Koenigsegg model (if there is any such thing) has to raise the bar beyond the competition, then how much more does that notion apply to a signature new vehicle such as Sadair’s Spear?

Performance without compromise is always our goal
“We take a balanced approach when figuring out the specification of a creation like Sadair’s Spear. Add lightness. Tweak, improve, adjust. Details. Details. Details. Push. Push. Push. Optimizing at this level of the market is a form of sorcery that works in tiny increments. But every little gain adds up. A kilowatt extra here. A kilogram off there. A meter saved in braking distance. A millimeter less lift. Everything matters.” — Christian von Koenigsegg

Driver Focus
The Sadair’s Spear interior is squarely aimed at increasing driver focus and vehicle drivability on track. While the Light Speed Transmission remains, shifting in Sadair’s Spear is limited to steering wheel–mounted paddles only, with the central shift mechanism replaced by a new key holder. Add less. Symmetry. Lightness. Focus — in the name of performance.

UNYIELDING PASSION AND FOCUS
The story behind Sadair’s Spear serves a twofold purpose. It is the final chapter of our tribute to Jesko von Koenigsegg — an inspiration from the first days of our company until today. It also honors his lifelong passion — horse racing — and uses this thread to create the ultimate track-focused Koenigsegg. Sadair’s Spear combines bespoke-designed components, higher outputs, lighter weight, and improved aerodynamics. It is a creation born of passion and an unyielding focus on circuit driving — and the exhilaration that it brings.
